How we do it:

KIMBERLEY PROCESS
The Kimberley Process is a commitment to remove conflict diamonds from the global supply chain. These are defined as “rough diamonds used to finance wars against governments”.
Diamond miners dealing in rough diamonds must be able to present Kimberley Process documents when exporting rough diamonds from the mine to the country of destination.

RESPONSIBLE JEWELLERY COUNCIL
The RJC addresses multiple topics in the jewellery supply chain where problems may occur. Where the Kimberly Process focusses on removing conflict diamonds from the supply chain, the RJC takes it one step further and addresses the complete picture that works around jewellery. Human rights, labour plights, environmental impact, mining practices and many more topics are all addressed.
